BIOGRAPHY | JUMP to Drawings (below)Like a cruel force of nature, Gale Force brews like a storm and comes crashing down around her pray.
A merciless hunter for hire, Gale Force advances herself by taking bounties. A mercenary by trade, she found that joining the Lady Intercepticons was a bit more profitable and a lot more fun. Their brutality and ruthlessness was a perfect fit.
Though equiped with the most sophisticated tracking equipment in the Decepticon armada, she, like most hunters, relies more on instinct than a blip on a screen. During pursuit, Gale Force merely uses her sensors to confirm what she suspects.
She's not a "big picture" Decepticon. Doesn't really care about the Transformer war or any other war for that matter. She'll hunt down and track anything for anyone for the right price.
Not that it's a big virtue for her or anything, but she doesn't believe in long, drawn out deaths. While she enjoys the fear she evokes while stalking her pray, she doesn't drag out her target's suffering. Gale Force is concerned about completing the hunt and gaining the prize. She does maintain a trophy room along with a cache of various weaponry that she can mount in jet mode or robot mode.Transforms into a Vertical Take-Off and Landing jet. This form allows her to launch and land in a very small clearing. The many jet ports can either gust compressed air (in the atmosphere) or fire rockets (for space maneuvering).
In robot mode, her cannon assembly also has a launcher for a netting device called the "gravity-web snare launcher". The flexible, sticky webbing is energized with a field that increases the gravity around the net. This weighs the target down immobilizing it. Gale Force can strengthen or weaken the field from close distances. She must infuse the web with her own power and the gravity charge wears off in a few minutes.
Has been known to pack a variety of sniper rifles.
Final B/W drawings |
17-Apr-01 Both modes
Gale Force in robot mode and
top view of jet mode.
A bottom view of her jet mode.
I drew the bottom view first to explore the placement of her armor and
V-TOL ports. Then I designed the top view of the jet.
Prototype sketches |
17-Apr-01 Gale Force sketch
Early concept sketches illustrated the link
between her robot form and jet mode. I decided to "cover her up" a bit
with a fancy chest plate. I did keep the standing pose used in this sketch.
As with the other ladies, wing placement is not an afterthought. I wanted small wings on her shoulders and hips. Notice that I dropped the two wings on the nosecone of her jet mode. Instead, I just use the wings on each greave.
