The inquisitive Dawn Chaser is always seeking. Whether she is looking for enemy camps or answering the deep questions of the universe. She pursues answers until she's satisfied.
Thourough and thoughtful, she notices every little detail yet can grasp the "big picture" immediately. Such a sensitivity to the world around her grows out of her natural curiosity. Her scout training has taught her to assume nothing and remain open to anything.
Her constant questioning of the universe around her has also caused her to question those in authority over her. Her better wisdom tells her not to openly challenge the Decepticon cause but inwardly, she becomes less convinced of their goal of universal domination as she experiences the cosmos around her.
Nothing escapes her watchful eye. Her multi-layered imaging sensors allow her to observe great spans as well as quickly zoom in on a given area. Hacking into GPS satellites and ground based detection devices, she can utilize the eyes and ears of the locals. Sensors can monitor a broad range of electomagnetic energy so she can tap into radio, TV, and other various transmissions.Transforms into a reverse-wing jet. This form uses four main thrusters and four reverse-geometry wings. These features makes her a quick and nimble jet.
Not a combatant. She is quick to zoom in and get out. Avoids confrontation with the enemy and does not engage in many skirmishes.

Early concept sketches show that I kept the
robot mode close to the original idea but the jet mode underwent radical changes.
Dawn Chaser's robot mode was designed before her alt mode and I just switched parts around until I got a jet out of it. :) When I first envisioned the Lady Intercepticons, this was the first sketch I made. When designing the first few characters, I simply started sketching female robots with jet parts all over them. Many didn't make the cut to become full blown drawings but I keep all of them around because a concept here or a concept there may prove useful when designing future characters.
For Dawn Chaser, I focused on the placement of the wings in robot mode. I wanted to have these rather big wings on her arms. They're a bit cumbersome but they are asthetically pleasing and make wicked slicing weapons.
A little note on her feet. It's not very evident in the final drawing, but the shield that protects her ankles only protects the front and sides. It is not covering over her heels. As this ankle sketch shows, her heels are actually the intake vents.
